I read the only other review of Keith's Auto Sales and can understand why the person felt angry about her car purchase. So, let me start out by saying that I have dealt with Keith's since moving to Vancouver six years ago. The person that I have mostly dealt with is a very nice, down to earth, unfailingly honest person. Yesterday I spent five hours looking at, starting up and test driving four different cars. Laurie was out there the whole time with me in the 86 degree heat. I have also dealt with a gentleman named Alan. He to, was polite, friendly, and when the car I wanted to test drive had a brake pad stuck to the brake rotor due to rust he had me move the car to the back of the lot. He explained that he would need to jack up the car and remove the rim. It was late in the day on a Friday, so he asked if I wouldn't mind returning on Monday, which I did. The car was ready, had almost half a tank of gas and was ready to go for the test drive. I think it is important to mention that Keith's has THE lowest prices of ANY car dealer on the Highway 99 Auto Strip. There are a few things to remember when looking at the lowest priced cars. 1.) They are used! Keith's has no way of knowing how the previous owners took care of them. Common sense should tell any used car shopper that used cars will have issues and always deferred maintenance as well. If you are paying less then 3000 to 4000 for a used car it is wise to take it to a mechanic for evaluation. Keith's is perfectly happy and comfortable with having a buyer do this. Yes, it may cost you some on the mechanics inspection, but then, as a buyer, you know whether to give the car a pass, are willing to spend the money fixing various things and performing deferred maintenance. If you are, then negotiate for your best price. I went to a VERY reputable local dealer here in the smaller town where I reside. I bought a nice used KIA and paid 3000.00 (before tax and license) using a car loan from my credit union. This car had 108,000 miles when I bought it. I should have taken my own advice! Even though my highly trusted mechanic said that it had been well cared for, there was still 2000.00 dollars of deferred maintenance to be done. I had budgeted for this, so went ahead and had the work done. Now the car is just great. 2.) Turn to the internet. There are forums, owners clubs, general articles, You Tube videos, basically all kinds of information on the cars that are sold here in the U.S.A. Do a little research yourself. Known issues are often written about and discussed for all makes and models. Know what you are buying. 3.) Be open and honest with whoever is helping you. If they pressure you because they work on commission, understand that, but by all means, feel free to use your feet and get up and leave. (Note: Don't ever give up your car keys or Driver's License (unless they make a copy and hand it back to you for purposes of taking a test drive) This mostly applies to large "Major Brand" car lots that sell new and used cars. 4.) Most smaller used car dealers will not pressure you to buy that very day. But, if they do. Say NO and go home to think about it. I have NEVER been pressured at Keith's to buy a car. My experience with them has always been 100 percent positive. If you are looking for an inexpensive used car, be a sensible shopper with realistic expectations, and follow the above guidelines I am sure you will have a very enjoyable car buying experience at Keith's.

I bought a car from them a month ago and it turned out to be a junker. I was told that my car has a tune up. But I just has to change the tranny filter and the oil filter, there was an oil leak, the whole dash only worked for about a day after I bought the car, the interior of the door popped off. There is probably more wrong but those are all I can remember. The car is falling apart and they offer no warranty for their cars. I do not recommend going here. You will be lied to and sold a crappy car.
